I found top 50 video in pitchfork.com but i don't know most of video in the list. i never watch them, i only know 10 of them, so here is my The Top 10 Music Videos of the 2000s based on that list.

Another pure technical marvel in a visual career full of them for Björk, this video was made using something called stereoscopic 3-D. Near as we can tell that means, here that means using 2-D puppets, miniatures, live action, and computer graphics and laying them over one another to create the illusion of 3-D.

Sigur Rós

Like their music, Sigur Rós' videos can threaten to tip over from the heart-filling to the manipulative; their clip for "Svefn-G-Englar", featuring a special needs theater group tips over the wrong side. This video, featuring a sort of post-apocalyptic playground, does not.

The 1990s were a decade of many diverse scenes in music, however they are perhaps best known for teen pop, Eurodance and electronic dance music, and for being the decade that hip hop and alternative rock became mainstream.

This decade saw the continuation of teen pop of the 1980s and the emergence of grunge music and alternative rock in pop culture replacing glam metal and the continuation of hip hop. It also featured the rise of contemporary country music music as a major genre, which started in the 1980s.

Grunge music, and the culture marketed around it, born out of the Pacific Northwest American states of Washington and Oregon, becomes a fad in 1991 with the success of Nirvana and similar groups following. The style would come to be strongly associated with the 1990s by the 2000s.

In the UK the uniquely British alternative rock Britpop genre emerged as part of the more general Cool Britannia culture. The Britrock band Oasis was formed in 1991. Female icons of Cool Britannia, the "Spice Girls", manage to do what the britpop boys couldn't manage and break America, taking the world by storm and becoming the most commercially successful British Group since The Beatles. Their impact brings about a widespread invasion of teen pop acts around the world such as Britney Spears, 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys and Hanson who come to prominence into the new millennium.



Who's Got a big impact on this changing time? the rockstars i'd say. No more people talkin about motley crue. Even though, there was still some rock n roll band. some band like Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi.



"Always" is a power ballad by Bon Jovi. It was released as a single from their 1994 album, Cross Road and went on to become their best selling single, with 1.5 million albums sold in the U.S. and more than 3 million worldwide. The song reached #4 in the U.S. charts and was also an international hit (#2 in both the United Kingdom and Australia and #4 in Germany).

Seems like there is a change on Bon jovi's Rock styling on the 90's. he cut his glam rock hair! :D

Did You Notice that Aerosmith is consistent on their playin? They are Rocks!



Talkin about 90's you'd remember about Boybands.. there are boy bands in the 90's.

Take That is a great boyband. they have great quality in Garry Barlow and of course robbie williams (would you doubt this one? :D)



but i think the boyband was started by New Kids On the Block. they're not playing music, they just dancing. and not all band member is singing, just put one or two front man to sing. They would sing mostly on love songs or sad songs.

speaking of sad songs, the saddest 90's memories would go to this:




Princess Of Wales. Married to Prince Charles. Died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997 when the paparazzi were chasing her limo. All of Britain was in mourning for her death for quite a while. She left two young sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

the song by elton john dedicated to her. it was dedicated to Marlyn Monroe before. Marlyn Monroe, the great actress who died in 1962. she was hot, remind us to Madonna in the 90's decade.

In 1996, Madonna played the starring role in the film Evita, for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. in Argentina there were some people who opposed Madonna being cast as their legendary former first lady.

Hindustan sounds in Modern Music, it's cool

What's on your mind when hear words 'Hindustan'? May be you'll think about India. that would be a correct thought. Because this is a list about music with Indians sound in it. Indian sound, i mean, sound that you'll hear from Bollywood movies.

Bollywood is the informal term popularly used for the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai, India. The term is often incorrectly used to refer to the whole of Indian cinema; it is only a part of the Indian film industry. The List of Madchester, the baggy scene

The Madchester scene was easily one of the most important and influential eras in British music history.

Madchester was a music scene that developed in Manchester, England, towards the end of the 1980s and into the early 1990s. The music that emerged from the scene mixed indie rock, psychedelic rock and dance music. Artists associated with the scene included The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, 808 State, James, The Charlatans, A Guy Called Gerald and other notable bands.

enough to say, you can watch it more detailed on '24 hours Party People', a good movie about madchester. Michael Winterbottom's 2002 film 24 Hour Party People follows the story of Tony Wilson and Factory Records, including the Madchester period and the Happy Mondays' success.

Magic Carpet Days by Ocean Colour Scene

in my previoustly post [click here], i wrote a little about Ocean Colour Scene (OCS).

today, i listen to radio, and glad to find they're playin OCS new single. it's called "magic carpet day". i like their tunes in this new singles. it's really cheerin me up. playing on tunes that would bring me to good memories of the 90's.




Ocean Colour Scene is still great. seems like with this cheerful anthem will put em in good position in music charts. i hope so. i love OCS so much. and i like this new singles too. OCS never let me down. they are really good at making good music.

The Prodigy Accoustic

The Prodigy are an English electronic music group formed by Liam Howlett in 1990 in Braintree, Essex. Along with Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method, as well as other acts they are pioneers of the big beat electronic dance genre which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s and 2000s, and are known for high-quality live performances. They have sold over 20 million records worldwide which is unequalled in dance music history.


Various styles ranging from rave, hardcore, industrial and breakbeat in the early 1990s to electronic rock with punk vocal elements in later times. The current band members include Liam Howlett (composer/keyboards), Keith Flint (dancer/vocalist) and Maxim Reality (MC/vocalist). Leeroy Thornhill (dancer/very occasional live keyboards) was a member of the band from 1990 to 2000, as was a female dancer/vocalist called Sharky who left the band during their early period. The Prodigy first emerged on the underground rave scene in the early 1990s, and have since then achieved immense popularity and worldwide renown. Some of their most popular songs include "Charly", "Out of Space", "No Good (Start the Dance)", "Voodoo People", "Poison", "Firestarter", "Breathe", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Omen" & "Warrior's Dance."


The name displayed on album covers changed from "The Prodigy" to "Prodigy" between Music for the Jilted Generation and The Fat of the Land in 1997 and back again with the release of Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned in 2004. However, Howlett has stated that the title has always been "The Prodigy". The change was made only to fit within the displayed logo, according to Howlett.

Atlanta, Georgia isn't the most likely place for a Euro disco-pop band to emerge, but Floraline are here to prove us all wrong. Combining retro elements of 80's new wave, 70's groove and Linda Sharp's sweet vocals, Floraline got the attention from Chicago's Minty Fresh Records who released their self-titled debut in 1999. This Band Called Floraline.. i used to hear their song, and, gosh, they are good! it would be good for you too, if you like songs from Ivy [New York]


They playin pop, or should i say, indie pop, in a dance full beat. their songs playing in mostly  major 7th chords. one of the most thing you should do to play a dance music :D

One of most notable era in music history, surely the 90's era. earlier, there were an invasion made by Kurt Cobain with his Nirvana, made a big invasion through grunge invasion. with those flannel, and un-shaved mustache..

Later, in the mid 90's, there are bands from U.K. they succeed to make an invasion to. we'll remember this era as Brit pop era. Some Notable Bands in this Brit pop era  is Oasis, Blur, Suede, Pulp, Catatonia, Supergrass, the verve, Sleeper and Elastica..

Besides those major Britpop Bands, There are brit pop bands that you would easily to forget. they are less popular, but doesn't mean that they ain't good.

Those Icelandic Make Cool Music, because they Livin on Ice Land?

Iceland is a European island country located in the North Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of about 320,000 and a total area of 103,000 km2 (39,769 sq mi). Its capital and largest city is Reykjavík, whose surrounding area is home to some two-thirds of the national population. Located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland is volcanically and geologically active on a large scale; this defines the landscape. The interior mainly consists of a plateau characterised by sand fields, mountains and glaciers, while many big glacial rivers flow to the sea through the lowlands. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, Iceland has a temperate climate relative to its latitude and provides a habitable environment and nature.

I have noted that Bands and Musician from Iceland are well known for their unique and beautiful sounds.. they never play sounds and standard notes. they always play unique. Sometimes shoegazing, sometimes enigmatic, but i would say that, they are good at Post Rock.

Should i write about sigur ros? 

Sigur Rós is an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical, and minimalist elements. The band is known for its ethereal sound and lead singer Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto voice. Too Bad, In January 2010, the band announced that they will be on hiatus until further notice in order to pursue solo careers and to spend time with their families.

Amiina is an Icelandic musical quartet composed of Hildur Ársælsdóttir (born January 31, 1980), Edda Rún Ólafsdóttir (born February 3, 1978), Maria Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir (born September 29, 1980), and Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir (born August 10, 1977). They frequently perform live and in the studio along with Sigur Rós. Back in 2001 violinist Ólöf Júlía was part of the band but has since been replaced by Hildur Ársælsdóttir.


The quartet's music is made with a great number of instruments. It contains elements of minimalistic style, contemporary classical, ambient, and electronic loops.


In their performances, each of them plays from the large range of instruments, moving from one instrument—and side of the stage—to another mid-song, often after sampling.
